AARON BURNETT

Producer, composer, performer, and Grammy-winning saxophonist Aaron Burnett is an up-and-coming jazz star.  After graduating from Berklee College of Music Aaron has made a name for himself performing as a valued sideman with Esperanza Spalding, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Vijay Iyer, and many other big names. However Aaron Burnett is gaining momentum as his own entity.

As the primary composer for his band Aaron Burnett and The Big Machine, Aaron’s music has been referred to as, “navigating the crevices and passageways between musical dimensions.” (Philip Booth, Jazziz Magazine, March, 2021) Aaron’s interest in technology has also led him to establish Sistine Criminals, a live electronic band that plays trap, hip hop, R&B, and creates studio backing tracks for artists.

Ivana Ng of DownBeat Magazine described Aaron’s latest release, Jupiter Conjunct, as “[an] earnest and introspective journey in search of hope, clarity, and momentum.” (December, 2020)

"Jupiter Conjunct is saxophonist/composer Aaron Burnett & The Big Machine follow-up to 2019’s acclaimed Anomaly, this time moving into the extra-terrestrial as many jazz forbears such as Sun Ra, John and Alice Coltrane, Pharaoh Sanders, and Lonnie Liston Smith, among others have done.” (Jim Hynes, Gilde Magazine, November, 2020)

"Jupiter Conjunct is an interstellar journey of freedom and sound intensity of improvised music.” (Begoña Villalobos, May, 2021)

“Jupiter Conjunct is a testament to seek and perpetuate the evolution of my consciousness and my admiration of our creator and the connection to the All through sound.” (Dee Dee McNeil, January, 2021)
