GEORGE COLEMAN

A legend as few musicians will ever be, NEA Jazz Master and Memphis Music Hall of Fame inductee George Coleman is a giant of Jazz tenor saxophone.  Featured on multiple historical albums as part of the Miles Davis Quintet, George also appears on hit Jazz records with a litany of Jazz royalty throughout his decades-long career.  "He played everything almost perfectly," said Davis of George Coleman.

Boasting credits and appearances in films starring Mick Jagger, Anthony Hopkins, Denzel Washington and Whitney Houston, George Coleman's career spans a lifetime of monumental music.

With the Coleman family legacy also deeply steeped in music, George Coleman's son and late wife both share and shared his love of Jazz, and the Coleman family continues to perform select concert dates together.
