GERRY GIBBS

Gerry Gibbs is a Grammy-Award-nominated drummer, multi-instrumentalist, composer and arranger; his father is Jazz vibraphone legend and bandleader Terry Gibbs, a bebop pioneer.

In 2021 Gerry's much-anticipated new double album Songs From My Father extended the vision once again.  Gibbs's smashing masterwork features four lineups of his all-star Thrasher Dream Trio which include Ron Carter, Christian McBride, Kenny Barron's Grammy-nominated piano solo, and feature and pay tribute to Chick Corea his final-ever studio performances.

Gerry has released 13 recordings as a solo artist and bandleader, beginning with 1995's The Thrasher which was produced by Quincy Jones.  Featured multiple times at #1 on the JazzWeek International Radio Charts, the only musician to chart with four consecutive #1 records, Gerry Gibbs is also a multiple-time Grammy-Award Nominee.
